Online classes are not new in the field of education in the world but it spread its wings in India mainly during the lockdown in the era of COVID-19 pandemic. The schools have adopted the online classes as the new methodology to avoid any loss of education during this tough time of pandemic. It is true that the online classes cannot take up the place of regular classes specially for the kids, as they learn from their peers well. But it proved to be the best alternative to the regular classes when physical classes cannot be taken up due the severity of the COVID-19.
Online classes were introduced to
avoid and loss of studies during the pandemic. The system of online classes
required the platform for the to and fro communication among the teacher and
student to provide the best feel of the actual class. The Online class system
also required good quality mic to communicate, own system in the hands of each
participant and good internet connectivity. The teachers have to make the online
presentation for classes to keep them classy enough to keep students engaged
and interactive. Education is a two way process and hence the teachers and students need to co-operate
to make the online classes successful.
Teachers and students are able to learn many new things w.r.t. networking while
getting engaged in the online classes. This is truly a blessing in disguise.
One side online classes pave a
way for continuing with our studies even during the pandemic period while on
the other hand it also saves the commutation time to school(s) which is also
more than 2 hours approx. in most of the metro cities in India. Further
students are able to grasp the networking techniques and the latest technology
in this field while teachers are also benefitted by way of upgrading their
knowledge w.r.t. the new advancements in this field. In the new age of virtual
world, It helps us to be confident in this virtual world which is truly a blessing
in disguise. We get more time to study as we save the time which we other way lose during travel to school by bus.
However, there are many disadvantages
are also associated with the online
classes. We spend most of our time on laptops or mobiles etc. and it may affect
our eyes mainly. Further, it may cause strain in the body because of the
posture taken during the classes. These
classes have converted the free life of students into virtual life which may
impact the mental health of the students. In the early age, the students learn
from their peers and by actions and this part of learning is missing in this
era of online classes. The quality of online classes mainly depends on the
quality of internet available. The quality internet is not yet available in
most of the parts of India, hence the quality online classes are yet a dream.
In the unavoidable situation of
pandemic, the online classes have provided the way to keep the studies of
student intact. There is no system perfect in this world and that’s true for
online classes also. The cheaper internet availability is the reality of today’s
India; hence it is the time to get the maximum of it while taking up online
classes. The yoga and some eye coordination exercises can be practised to
mitigate the ill-effect of the online classes. The chat room interaction with
peers can be practised in parents observation to get the learning through peers.
Online classes have provided a new world altogether, we have to catch it up in
a better manner for the better future.
